Requests that fail alongside an error

Report an issue

Which fetch/XHR endpoints fail in the pageviews this error signature fires in.

Answers the detail-less rejection: the error carries no message and no frame, the failing request carries the URL, the method and the status. The two are never linked per event, so the answer is a correlation with a baseline, and the response says so.

Authorization

bearerAuth
headerAuthorizationBearer <token>

API token generated from the fastmon dashboard (Account → API Token) or at organization level (fmo_…, one that outlives its creator). Send as Authorization: Bearer fm_... or paste the full token (including its prefix) into the Authorize dialog.

Path Parameters

org_id*Org Id
Formatuuid

Request Body

application/json
  1. body

Request for /analytics/error-types/correlated-requests.

time_range*

Time range for the query

filters?

Optional filters

fingerprint*Fingerprint
Length1 <= length <= 16
limit?Limit

Max endpoints to return

Range1 <= value <= 50
Default10
min_pageviews?Min Pageviews

An endpoint is only reported once it failed in at least this many of the pageviews that carried the signature. Below it the share, and with it the lift, is noise.

Range1 <= value <= 10000
Default20

Response Body

Successful Response

application/json
  1. response

Response for /analytics/error-types/correlated-requests.

The endpoints are ranked by lift, not by share: an endpoint that fails in 85 percent of all pageviews correlates with every signature at about 85 percent, and reading that as a cause is the mistake this endpoint exists to prevent. It reports co-occurrence, never causation.

meta*

Facts about the result

request*

The request as the server resolved it

surface*Surface

Which fetch/XHR failures were counted, chosen from the signature's message_kind: 'network' (status 0), 'aborted' (cancelled calls and status 0), 'http' (4xx and 5xx) or 'failures' (5xx and status 0, the default). 'aborted' answers 'the response was empty' and therefore covers two causes: a visitor who left and a call that never connected. Only the first is not a failure, and pageviews_cancelled on each row says how many of its pageviews were which.

message_kind*Message Kind

The signature's recognised message shape, '' if unrecognised

summary*

The two populations the shares are measured against.

endpoints*array<>

Ranked by lift, desc

fetch_xhr_collected*Fetch Xhr Collected

False when an application in scope does not collect fetch/XHR. The query then covered only the sites that do, so the numbers are sound but partial, and an empty list is inconclusive rather than an answer: request telemetry is opt-in, and nothing reconstructs a failing request from the error alone.
